Welcome to the CREW Community!

CREW is about relationships......relationship with God, each other and our world. In CREW we are all about creating authentic community where we demonstrate to each other and our world the commitment God has for us. Basically, we want to be imitators of God as we relate to each other and those around us. Our mission is to enjoy God and the life He's given us while we relate to each other and the world around us. In the process, we have the great privilege of making Him look great!

If you are looking for a place to experience God, that offers relevant environments and authentic community, then maybe CREW is the place for you.

We are one community that meets in many places:

2008 Haiti Mission Trip

Crew is going to Haiti June 14-21 ’08!

Crew will be serving Mission of Hope which is 45 minutes from Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince.  Check out their website at www.missionofhopehaiti.org.   Crew will be staying on Mission of Hope’s compound and MoH will be providing our food, lodging and island transportation.   $500/person pays for all of our expenses on the island.

Haiti is the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere and one of the poorest in the world.  The European Union and the United States governments have said that there is very little real hope for the nation of Haiti.  Mission of Hope believes that through the power of Jesus Christ, Haiti can be changed.  Mission of Hope is seeing real change come to Haiti.

Crew, this is your chance to be part of a movement of God in one of the most desperate nations on earth.  If you are at all interested, please let your Crew leader know as soon as possible.  If you know you want to go, reserve your spot by Thursday Feb 14th!  Valentines Day is the day for you to confirm that you’re planning on sharing the love God has given you with a nation that lives in real darkness.    Confirm your reservation with a $100 check written to ‘Experience Crew’.   Money deposited will be used to toward the purchase of airline tickets.

Spencer Greenlee is helping coordinate Crew’s missions trip to Haiti.  Josh Graeve has met the director of Mission of Hope and also can answer questions.

Together, Crew, through our belief in Christ, we are going to make a difference in Haiti!

7/15/2007 : Beach Baptism

In July 2007 Carl Lorenzini and Juls Carlson followed Jesus Christ by being baptized. It was a real celebration as over 60 of Crew gathered at a local beach to witness Juls and Carl’s baptism. We prayed, partied and thanked God for what He has done in our lives! In their baptism, Carl and Juls weren’t just making a statement about their decision to follow Christ. Juls and Carl were also making a statement that the God of the universe has forgiven them of every fault and sin and made them a new person! God says of Carl and Juls, “These are my children, whom I love; with whom I am well pleased.” (See Matthew 3:17) God says that because of what Christ did for us. Seeing the power of that truth through Carl and Juls baptism was a huge thing for all of us!

6/2007 : South African Barbarians

Much of Western culture is focused on doing what is personally good for us. In fact, some even think we are out of God’s will if we aren’t always doing what we enjoy. In June 2007, six members of Crew experienced the truth. What we saw and heard and experienced was the power of lives committed to using what God had given them….even at great personal sacrifice and inconvenience.

For years, Rufus, our host and South African rancher, has driven 7 hours each way to share Christ in the Transkei….a vast tribal area of 2 million people with little Christian witness or presence. Over the years Rufus and his wife Almarie have partnered with anyone who would share Christ with the villagers of this area. In the process they have partnered with Nolandasa and Momma Christina, two Xhosa women who are giving their lives for the children of the Transkei.

It would be easier for Rufus and Almarie to focus on their ranch and their family but at great personal cost they are giving their time and energy to bring Christ to the Transkei. They actually believe they can change the Transkei and South Africa forever because of Christ.

It would be easier for Nolandasa to teach children in a public school. She received a teaching degree over 30 years ago and could be leading a comfortable life. Instead, for thirty years she has lived a life of poverty traveling throughout the Transkei bringing the hope of Christ to children and their families.

Momma Christina could be living in her village surrounded by family and friends but for 7 years she has worked to share Christ with the children of the Transkei.
